Recent moisture allowing county road improvements PDF Print E-mail
Chase County roads workers were taking advantage of the spring-like temperatures earlier this week, as well as the moisture the area has received, in getting some needed road maintenance done. On Tuesday, workers were on Road 738, east of Imperial’s 12th Street, where they were rebuilding the road for a three-mile stretch, pulling up dirt from the sides and will eventually cover it with gravel, said Commissioner Jodi Thompson. She said the lack of moisture in recent years has prevented some of this work, but the county hopes to continue as long as the moisture holds up.
