‘Cheer’ful youths entertain at halftime PDF Print E-mail

If you want to develop good skills, you need to start early. More than 50 youngsters received some early education on the art of cheerleading at the annual youth cheerleading camp held Feb. 14 and sponsored by the Chase County Cheerleaders. After several hours of working on their routines that day, the youths showed what they learned at halftime of last Friday’s boys’ basketball game. They performed before a big crowd and received rousing applause. Below, CCS cheerleaders Michaela Ketter, left, and Jenna Schilke lead the group as they perform. Kora Weiss took her performance quite seriously  as she watched the older cheerleaders for direction. (Republican photos)
