Imperial was the place to be for youth basketball Saturday, as 27 teams competed in the 2009 Longhorn Basketball Tournament. It’s been several years since a tournament for youths was held in Imperial. Four playing floors were in use throughout the community, and things went smoothly, said organizers Brad and Jill Moline. Among the action at the Longhorn gym Saturday afternoon, above, were two Imperial teams. At left, Jared Sharp takes a look at the hoop for a possible shot in a fifth grade boys’ game against Dundy County in the Longhorn gym.
