|Summer ball team signup forms are out|
Youths planning to play baseball or softball in the city of Imperial’s leagues this summer can now sign up for teams.
Signup forms are available at several locations in town, according to City Clerk/Administrator Jo Leyland, including the city office, school, Super Foods and Hill’s Family Foods.
Park board members voted to increase participation fees for all leagues this summer.
For traveling teams, the fee doubled from $15 to $30 this summer. Those on the traveling teams, which have games at home and away, must have their form in by March 2 to avoid late fees. The fee will double to $60 after that date.
Fees for players on non-traveling teams will increase from $10 to $15 this summer. The non-traveling team forms must be in by April 30. After that date, the fee doubles to $30.
Forms are to be returned to the city office.
