|Hand surgeon a new visiting specialist coming to hospital|
Chase County Community Hospital has announced that Scott Carroll, D.O., visiting hand surgeon from North Platte, will begin seeing patients at the Chase County Community Hospital Specialty Clinic in Imperial, starting on Feb. 20.
He specializes in surgery of the hand, including carpal tunnel and trauma injury.
Dr. Carroll, who is originally from Paxton, is associated with Mark McKenzie, M.D. and John Hannah, M.D. with North Platte Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Associates.
He completed both his internship and residency at Des Moines General Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed a fellowship in cardiac surgery at Deborah Health and Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey, and also completed a one-year hand surgery fellowship at Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.
He is board certified by the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners, the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery and certified in general surgery, and thoracic and cardiovascular surgery.
Dr. Carroll is looking forward to helping patients of the area with hand problems or injuries.
