The concert is one of a series of concerts presented annually featuring organs in the Sterling community. The concert will begin at 3 p.m.
The trumpeter for the concert is Joel Grosbach, and the organists are Jean Farrer and J. Gordon Christensen.
Chamber music for trumpet and organ will include works by Torelli, Buxtehude and Hovahness. Music for organ includes compositions by James Hook, Stanford, J.S. Bach, DaQuin, Guilmnat, Dandrieu and Balbastre.
Prince of Peace Episcopal Church is a historic structure near downtown Sterling. Built about a century ago, it is an exquisite example of rural English ecclesiastical architecture seating about 120.
Decorated for the Advent, Christmas and Epiphany seasons of the church year, the decorations have been left in place for the concert, which includes a set of “Noels” drawn from the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
Everyone is welcome to attend the concert. Admission is free.
