March is Red Cross Month; school hosting Bloodmobile next week PDF Print E-mail

Across the country, the American Red Cross is reminding communities that March is Red Cross Month, a time to commemorate Red Cross involvement.
In the United States, nearly five million people need blood transfusions each year. By making an appointment to give blood this month, donors can help the Red Cross meet the needs of patients in this community and across the nation.
March was initially declared Red Cross Month in 1943, when President Roosevelt reminded the American public that the Red Cross is committed to providing blood and blood products, disaster assistance and emergency social services across the United States and internationally.
Here are specifics on an upcoming blood donation opportunity:
Chase County High School Blood Drive, Thursday, March 17, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Chase County High School Gym. For an appointment, contact Angie Paisley at 882-4228. Walk-ins are also welcome and needed.
