Test your jigsaw puzzle skills

Are you one of those people who spend nights working jigsaw puzzles on a card table in your living room? Then, the Lied Imperial Public Library has a contest for you.
The first annual Jigsaw Puzzle Tournament will be held at the library March 5 from 1:30 to 5 p.m.
All age groups, from 11 through 111, according to Library Director Beth Falla, will receive the same puzzle to put together. Teams are encouraged to name themselves with fun titles.
Registration must be received by 7 p.m. Feb. 24, Falla said, so that the required number of puzzles may be ordered.
Winners will be decided by how much time is spent putting the puzzle together, and how much of the puzzle is completed.
“I think it will be fun,” Falla commented, adding that other libraries have used the occasion for a fundraiser. This year, she said, the library just wanted to see how it would be accepted.
Divisions are as follows:
Adult—ages 15 and up: four person team, 750-1,000 piece puzzle; two person team, 500-750 piece puzzle; individual, 300-550 piece puzzle.
