Second graders enjoy early Thanksgiving dinner PDF Print E-mail

The second grade at Chase County Schools prepared and enjoyed their own Thanksgiving dinner last Wednesday, Nov. 24. The menu featured turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn casserole, tossed salad, homemade bread and butter and a pumpkin dessert. The class made place mats, turkey centerpieces and place cards for the tables, and also set up the tables and chairs for the day. The students hosted several special guests including Supt. Matt Fisher, secretary Sherri Wheeler and custodian Sheryl Dreiling. Following the meal, each class sang a song or performed a poem/play. Students enjoying the meal at this table are, from left, Jordan Hopp, Kylie Purkeypile, Triston Cochran, Tanner Roenfeldt, Mr. Fisher, Martin Rodriguez, Halle Fiedler and Kenyan Biesecker.
