A preliminary hearing for Stuart Gordon, 22, who is in jail for allegedly stabbing a local woman, will be held in August.
At a July 14 arraignment in Chase County Court, Gordon was formally charged with assault in the second degree, a Class III felony. Joel Burke of Imperial was appointed his counsel.
Gordon will be before the court for his arraignment on Aug. 18 at 2:30 p.m. He remains in the Chase County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
