Pool back open after Saturday incident

It was a scene right out of the movie, “Caddyshack”—only this time it wasn’t a candy bar.
Saturday’s unfortunate incident at the Imperial pool again thwarted the city of Imperial’s efforts to get its pool open for the 2010 season.
However, after a couple of days of work, and some help from the rain, the pool did reopen on Tuesday.
The problems with the pool’s leaking pipes were resolved so it could open for the first time on Saturday for the free afternoon swimming as part of the city’s 125th celebration.
However, after just an hour and a half of swimming with 120 swimmers registered, human solid waste matter was discovered on the pool deck and in the water, so it had to be closed for health reasons.
