There won’t be any lack of entertainment or shopping opportunities at Saturday’s Celebration on the Square. Sponsored by the Chase County Tourism Committee, it will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the courthouse lawn in Imperial.
The public is urged to bring lawn chairs for enjoying singer/musician Paul Siebert, who plays a variety of instruments. He appeared at last year’s Celebration on the Square, too. The Imperial Drill Team will also perform during the morning.
Children’s activities include water games, a bouncy house and body art with the drill team.
Food may be purchased on the grounds from Russell’s Restaurant (breakfast burritos and lunch items), the Chase County Community Hospital (bake sale) and the drill team (concessions).
Vendors will be selling hanging plants, crafts, Mary Kay products, purses, wood crafts, candles, jewelry and more.
In addition, the following will be selling either products or raffle tickets: Eagles Auxiliary (tickets for a Crown Royal quilt); Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge (painted pot chairs); United Methodist Church (cookbooks), and quasquicentennial committee (coffee mugs and shirts).
