Booths and activities will be available for just about any taste at the annual Celebration on the Square in Imperial June 19. One of the organizers, Claudette Swanson, said there will be a “lot of neat, different things.”
Although space at the celebration, which is held on the courthouse lawn, is not required to be reserved, Chairman Jill Moline said a number of vendors have contacted her and Swanson to tell them they’ll attend.
Marty’s Yarden of Holyoke, Colo. will bring big hanging plants. There will be Tutus by Brooke, In & Out Designs, Mary Kay products, candles, wood crafts, jewelry and crafts.
The Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge Chase County Chapter will be selling painted chairs holding pots of flowers. The Eagles Auxiliary will be selling tickets for a Crown Royal quilt.
The Chase County Community Hospital Auxiliary will hold a bake sale. The Imperial Dance Team will man a concession stand. Russell’s Restaurant will provide breakfast burritos and lunch items.
For the children, there will be water games, a bouncy house and artwork with the Drill Team.
People will want to bring their lawn chairs, and be entertained by the Drill Team and returning musician Paul Siebert, who sings and performs on a number of instruments.
Celebration on the Square will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
