The Chase County Schools Longhorn gymnasium will be the scene of high school graduation Saturday, May 15. The Class of 2010 will graduate 26 students at the 4:30 p.m. ceremony.
Valedictorians are Chevy Smith, Adrianne Pursley and Paula Leibbrandt, who will all speak during the ceremony. Jilanne German will deliver the benediction as Salutatorian.
The high school band and Ninth Street Singers will provide music during the event. School board members Charley Colton and Gregg Smith will present the graduates with their diplomas.
A power point presentation will highlight each graduate’s life.
The Class of 2010 chose platinum and teal as their colors. The class motto is “Be Who You Are and Say What You Feel Because Those Who Mind Don’t Matter and Those Who Matter Don’t Mind.”
High School Principal Mike Sorensen said this is the smallest class to graduate since he’s been in the school system. He became principal in the 2006-07 school year.
