Finding out what Kindergarten’s like PDF Print E-mail

Forty prospective 2010-11 kindergartners at Chase County Schools spent Monday finding out what their first year in school will be like. This year’s kindergarten class was excused for the day, so all three teachers could spend the day with next year’s class. Above, left, Keirsten Colton takes a sip of milk during lunchtime. At top right, Griffon Hust and Ashlyn Jones have fun as they move to music, learning how to follow directions and balance a bean bag on their bodies. Meanwhile, Brandon McCannon concentrates on a project using scissors, as teacher Lisa Krutsinger engages this group of youngsters. There are 45 youngsters identified in the district who could attend kindergarten this fall, according to school officials. (Republican photos)
