Prom-goers ready for big weekend PDF Print E-mail

Juniors and seniors at Chase County Schools and their dates are counting down the final days until Saturday night’s Prom in Imperial, which will follow “A Black Tie Affair” theme this year. Members of the junior class selected their candidates for king and queen last week, which include seniors, from left, Dee Dee Pursley, Jeff Banks, Chevy Smith, Shanna Carter, Karlee Kunnemann and Alec Spady. The prom-goers will attend a catered 6:30 p.m. dinner Saturday at the new St. Patrick’s Church parish hall, then proceed to the Wellington gym, where the promenade, which is open to the public, will get underway about 8 p.m. Junior class co-sponsor Lorain Vires said the coronation of the king and queen will take place immediately following the promenade, then by the dance. The youths have also been invited to the annual post-prom party at the school cafeteria on East 9th St. after the dance concludes, organized by the parents of juniors and seniors. (Republican photo)
