Readers of The Imperial Republican who like to get their news from the Internet can now get the entire issue of the Republican online.
The Republican is now offering an e-subscription that will allow e-subscribers to view the paper online as if they were viewing the printed edition.
Republican Co-publisher Russ Pankonin said the e-subscription provides a real benefit, especially to out-of-area or out-of-state subscribers.
Rather than waiting for mail delivery, an e-subscriber can get the paper the very next day, Pankonin said. In some instances out of state, mail delivery can take 7-10 days, he noted.
E-subscribers can access the e-edition at the paper’s web site,, by clicking on the “E-Edition” tab.
Registered users must enter their user name and password to enter the on-line edition.
Pankonin said the page viewer is very intuitive and allows users to view the paper in two-page or single-page views.
The e-edition is also searchable, making it easy for the reader to find a particular story or subject, he added.
The page can be viewed in the existing frame or the reader can click an icon at the bottom of the reader to view the paper full screen.
People interested in an e-subscription should contact The Imperial Republican at 308-882-4453.
The annual cost for an e-subscription is $29.50. Current subscribers to the paper can convert their subscription to an e-sub. The remainder of their subscription will be pro-rated towards the e-subscription.
Current subscribers who wish to keep the print version of the paper can add an e-subscription for $29.50 per year.
