Ag industry to be spotlighted PDF Print E-mail

The Taste of Agriculture will be held on Saturday from 4-7 p.m. at the Phillips County Event Center at the fairgrounds in Holyoke, Colo. This is the third year for the event, which is sponsored by the Phillips County Commissioners.
The goal of the show is to promote and show off the agriculture industry of Phillips County and the high plains. The Commissioners and Taste of Agriculture Planning Committee are hoping to have vendors promoting wheat, corn, beets, potatoes, beans, alfalfa, sunflowers, millet, cattle, hogs, dairy and sheep.
Vendors will promote their products, advertise, take job applications—whatever serves their enterprise. Each vendor will provide a “taste” of their product and a prize to be given away during the evening.
There is a charge to visit the event. Tickets will be sold at the door. An attendee gets a taste of all the good products grown in Phillips County and the high plains and a chance for a prize. Last year 34 prizes were given away.
