Jump rope, Hoops for Heart a success PDF Print E-mail

Last Friday students at Chase County Schools raised more than $8,500 for the American Heart Association by participating in Jump Rope For Heart and Hoops For Heart.
Donations help fund research to fight heart disease and stroke and also support the American Heart Association’s public and professional education programs.
Heart disease is the number one killer in America, and strokes are the third leading cause of death.
“This year’s event was a huge success,” said Jodie Schuller, CCS physical education teacher and coordinator of the event. “I am very proud of all the students, and we all had a lot of fun.”
Jump Rope For Heart and Hoops For Heart are programs that promote physical fitness and heart health through the fun activity of jumping rope and shooting hoops.
