Chase County Longhorns matched up for first rounds

Chase County will be well represented at the Nebraska State Wrestling Tournament, Feb. 18-20. Tickets are still available for all sessions.
Action begins today (Thursday) at 7:30 a.m. MT with first round followed by quarterfinals at 11 a.m.
Friday morning action begins at 7:30 a.m. with first round consolation matches followed at 9 a.m. by second round consolations. Friday evening has semifinals and third round consolations starting at 5 p.m. MT.
On Saturday, consolation semifinals start at 7:30 a.m. followed by consolation finals and fifth place matches at 9:15 a.m.
The finals which will be broadcast on NTV begin at 12:30 p.m. MT.
Chase County Longhorns and their first matches are:
112 Keithan Cochran (30-8), junior, versus Brandon Roath, Palmyra (25-6), senior.
140 Jeremiah Lueth (25-5), junior, versus Jacob Brown, Central City (32-7), freshman.
215 Tyler Roenfeldt (24-16), senior, versus Ben Konen, Hastings St. Cecilia (37-7) ,senior.
285 Nathan Hinojosa (28-11), junior, versus Alex Capels Syracuse (21-2), senior.
Other area wrestlers competing at the tournament are Adam Simpson of Hitchcock County/Wauneta Palisade in the 215 pound division and Kyle Schulze of Perkins County in the 130 pound class.
