Wrestlers travel to Hershey for Districts PDF Print E-mail

The Chase County wrestling team will be traveling to the district tournament in Hershey on Friday and Saturday. Wrestling begins at 2 p.m. MT on Friday.
Saturday morning wrestling resumes at 8:30 a.m. MT with the semi- finals and wrestle backs. Visitors are asked to enter through the east gymnasium doors of the high school.
Admission will be— Friday: students $4 and adults $5. Saturday: all day students $6 and adults $8. Finals only Saturday at 12:30 p.m. MT: students $4 and adults $5.
The top four wrestlers in each weight division will earn a spot at the state tournament in Omaha.
Coach Matt Vlasin is hoping to take around four wrestlers to state but knows that anything is possible at districts.
Teams participating in the District C-4 tournament in Hershey include Ainsworth, Bayard, Bridgeport, Chase County, Gordon/Rushville, Hershey, Hitchcock County/Wauneta Palisade, Kearney Catholic, Kimball, Loomis/Bertrand, Mitchell, Morrill, Ord, Sargent/Burwell, Southern Valley and Valentine.
The state tournament runs Feb. 18-20 at the Qwest Center in Omaha.
