Longhorn wrestlers stampeded by McCook Bison

In the first of three straight days of wrestling action, the Chase County Longhorn wrestlers got off to a rough start.
With three wrestlers on the bench with injuries, and one gone, Chase County’s chances were greatly diminished last Thursday evening when they rolled into McCook.
Keithan Cochran and Tyler Roenfeldt both received forfeits due to open weights in their division. That left four wrestlers with matches.
McCook received seven forfeits due to open weights which essentially gave them the win. After tallying the points from the forfeit matches, McCook led Imperial 42-12.
With just four chances to make up points, it was impossible for Imperial to overtake the Bison.
By coin toss the meet started at the 215 pound weight class. Results are as follows.
215 Tyler Roenfeldt won by forfeit.
285 Nathan Hinojosa decisioned Ross Stewart 8-6.
