Longhorns ambushed by Fleming Wildcats

In a new dual added this year to Chase County which replaced the Holyoke dual, the Longhorns didn’t really know what to expect from Fleming, Colo., last week.
The Fleming Wildcats shocked the Longhorns and took a 24-30 victory. Each team received two forfeits from open weight classes which left six matches to be decided on the mat.
By draw, the matches started at the 285 pound weight class. The night started out great for the Longhorns with Nathan Hinojosa pinning Andrew Lightsey in just over a minute.
Keithan Cochran won by forfeit and then the momentum switched to the Fleming Wildcats. The next three matches all went to Fleming including the upset of Jeremiah Lueth to Harrison Johnson.
The Longhorns won the next match but lost the final match of the night to come up six points short.
