Two Lady Longhorns earn post-season SPVA honors PDF Print E-mail

Two sophomores on the Lady Longhorn volleyball team this season earned post-season SPVA all-conference honors.
At a meeting Monday night, SPVA coaches selected their all-association team, which included 12 players. Another five individuals earned honorable mention status.
Shannon Liewer was named to the SPVA Conference all-association team, and was the only Lady Longhorn chosen in that group.
Fellow CCS sophomore Chantal Heathers was among the five honorable mention players.
Liewer was the team’s leading hitter this season, with 217 kills recorded. She was also among the leading servers and second on defense for total digs with 335.
Heathers led the team on defense with 391 digs (4.55 per game), had the most total serves (330) for the Lady Longhorns and was second for ace serves with 24.
