Students at Chase County Schools will be treated to two different Veterans Day programs on Wednesday, Nov. 11.
Sponsored by the school’s FBLA chapter, an 11 a.m. program is designed for grades 7-12. A second program at 1 p.m. is for K-6 students. Both will be in the school auditorium.
FBLA Advisor Sandy O’Neil said the 11 a.m. program will feature WWII veteran Dwight Hoff, who will speak to the grade 7-12 students. There will also be a video tribute, singing and music from the band.
At 1 p.m., K-6 students will be treated to a flag-folding ceremony, a video and singing.
All veterans who have served time in the military are being invited to attend one or both programs, O’Neil said. The veterans are also encouraged to eat lunch at the school courtesy of the FBLA chapter.
Veterans planning to stay for lunch are asked to call the school office, 308-882-4304, and leave their name so additional lunches can be prepared.
