Chase County Community Hospital and Clinic are still receiving limited doses of the H1N1 influenza vaccine. Lori Mendenhall of CCCH said the doses are “trickling in” each week.
She encourages women who are pregnant, or those persons under age 50 who are immunocompromised to call the clinic to receive a vaccine.
Immunocompromised persons are those having asthma, pulmonary conditions or some forms of cancer treatments.
Mendenhall said Tuesday that no more seasonal vaccine has been received at that time. However, more is expected at a later date.
The seasonal flu season is expected to hit later than the H1N1 season.
