Fire investigators returned this week to the scene of the Harchelroad Motors fire to continue pursuing what caused the early morning Oct. 17 blaze.
Last week, investigators already ruled out any foul play or arson in the fire that leveled the building housing Harchelroad Motors, Inc.
A fence has been installed around the entire area both as a safety measure and to keep anyone from disturbing the scene.
Sid Harchelroad, owner of the building, said he’s hoping to learn sometime this week when the cleanup process can begin.
The business was just in the beginning stages of building a new shop on the north end of the building.
Demolition of the old shop began late afternoon, Friday, Oct. 16.
Harchelroad has indicated he plans to rebuild on the site of the destroyed building.
Harchelroad Motors is conducting business from its indoor showroom located just across the street west from the building that burned down.
Harchelroad said they’re getting along, but it’s been tough.
He said they lost all their parts and many specialized shop tools in the fire so it’s been a little tough to regroup.
He said the ordeal has been a real learning experience thus far.
