The annual Haunted House in Imperial, sponsored by the Imperial Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Pat Hammel, will be open for spooky business this weekend. This year the event will be held in the city gym.
EMS President Deb Hayes said the entire gym will be covered by horrifying scenes. She noted that the Chase County Food Pantry is still accessible from the furthest east door in the building.
The Haunted House will be open Thursday night from 7:30-10 p.m. On Friday and Saturday nights, the house will be open from 7:30-11:30 p.m.
Entry is through the south door by the gymnasium.
Admission is $5 for those age 13 and up, $4 for ages 5-12 and $2 for those four and under. Those bringing a canned good for the Chase County Food Pantry will get a dollar off the admission price.
Proceeds will go to the EMS Scholarship Fund.
Hayes said that anyone wanting a tour during the day, or those perhaps too young for a frightful experience, may call her at (308) 882-8811 to arrange special appointments.
