Some exterior landscaping is yet to be finished, but the new St. Patrick Catholic Church hall will be on display Sunday at an afternoon open house.
The open house will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. Refreshments will be served, and a number of parishioners will be on hand to show visitors around.
Fr. Bernard Lorenz, pastor, and St. Patrick parishioners invite the public to the open house. Fr. Lorenz said the parish is quite proud of the hall and encourages the public to come for a look.
The 80 x 80-foot facility encompasses a large fellowship area that can seat 200, a large spacious kitchen, three classrooms and a meeting room. The meeting room also doubles as a classroom for youth Catechism classes during the school year.
There are handicap parking spaces at both the east and west entrance.
The hall was further enhanced the past week when 200 new chairs arrived.
The hall has been used for a number of parish events already, including last Sunday’s parish dinner following Confirmation.
Special guest in Imperial Sunday was Lincoln Bishop Fabian Bruskewicz, who administered the Sacrament of Confirmation at Mass and also blessed the hall afterwards.
The hall is also available for public use.
