A firearm hunter education class will be offered later this month in Imperial, which meets the requirements for hunting big game in Nebraska.
The course, administered by the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission, is scheduled for Oct. 20, 21 and 22 from 6 to 9 p.m. all three evenings at the Imperial Fire Hall.
Participants must attend all three evenings to gain certification.
Instructors will be Doug Mitchell and Mac DeHart, both of Imperial.
Proof of completing a hunter education course is required for Nebraska hunters who are at least 12 years old and born on or after Jan. 1, 1977, who hunt any species of game, game animal or game bird in the state using a firearm or crossbow.
Non-residents are not required to complete the Nebraska course if they have proof of completing a similar course in their home state.
Questions about the course can be directed to Mitchell at 308-882-4003 or DeHart at 308-882-5527.
