DNR to release water-short year alternatives today PDF Print E-mail

The Nebraska Department of Natural Resources will release today (Thursday) the alternatives under consideration when a  water-short year occurs in the Republican River Basin.
DNR will release the information during a 1 p.m. CT meeting at the city auditorium in Holdrege.
The meeting will focus on the issue of dry-year compliance with the Republican River Compact Settlement.
DNR has been meeting with basin NRDs in closed session during the last several months as preparation for the alternative plans.
DNR will also discuss a proposed schedule to move forward with basin NRDs to more fully develop a comprehensive plan for compliance in water-short years.
The Republican River Management Districts Association will meet at 10 a.m. CT at the Holdrege city auditorium.
