Get ready for a fun night of basketball featuring high-flying slam dunks, dazzling ball-handling tricks and hilarious comedy routines.
The Imperial Chamber of Commerce is bringing the Harlem Ambassadors basketball team for a performance Saturday, Sept. 19.
The event will be held at the Chase County gymnasium starting at 7 p.m. MT.
The Ambassadors will take on a team of Longhorn “Has-Beens” in a charity event to raise funds for Chase County Schools.
The internationally-acclaimed Harlem Ambassadors offer a unique brand of Harlem-style basketball.
They feature non-stop laughs and deliver a positive message aimed especially at kids.
“At our shows, we want the kids to know that they’re part of our team too,” Coach Ladè Majic said.
“We invite as many kids as we can to come sit on the bench, have a front row seat during the show, and get involved in all of the fun stuff we do,” he added.
The Ambassadors set themselves apart from other “Harlem-style” basketball teams by working with local not-for-profit and service organizations.
For their visit to Imperial, the Ambassadors have partnered with the Imperial Chamber of Commerce with all proceeds after expenses going to Chase County Schools.
The Ambassadors have worked extensively with organizations in communities throughout the U.S., and perform more than 200 shows a year.
Tickets will be available at the door. Cost for adults is $5 and $3 for students. Kids four and under are free.
