The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will get organized for the school year on Monday, Aug. 31, with a cookout and meeting at the school.
The cookout will start at 6:30 p.m., and all high school students, coaches and anyone else interested is invited, said FCA co-sponsor Linda McNair.
All food will be provided. “Just bring a friend,” McNair said.
On Sept. 13, a “scavenger orientation” is being organized, geared to the freshmen at Chase County Schools.
However, sponsors Pat and Linda McNair said anyone can attend that event, as well.
The afternoon on Sept. 13 will start at 12:30 p.m. with pizza at the McNair home, with a scavenger hunt afterwards. Students attending will be briefed on the FCA organization, as well.
Later that afternoon, a workshop is scheduled with this year’s leadership team, conducted by Nate Lewis, the area’s FCA representative.
Anyone with questions can contact Pat or Linda McNair at 882-5166.
