Alyssa Fisher wins fourth steer riding buckle PDF Print E-mail

Alyssa Fisher claimed her fourth straight buckle during Wednesday’s steer riding competition at the Chase County Fair.
Fisher claimed the buckle and prize money in the 13-14 age group once again by holding on for a whopping 4.71 seconds during an afternoon with some very ill-tempered steers.             Lane Summers took second in the 13-14 age group with a time of 3.71 seconds, claiming that prize loot, and Dillon Koop was close behind at third with a time of 3.61 seconds.
Colby Duvel claimed the buckle in the 10-12 age group, hitting the gold standard of eight seconds on her steer.
Destiny Reinke took second in the 10-12 age group, riding her steer for 2.56 seconds. Noah Kerchal was third with a time of 2.51 seconds.
In the 8-9 age group, Caid Doetker of Wauneta took the buckle, riding for 3.31 seconds.
Cade Lutz was second with a time of 2.34 seconds, and Jorge Cervantes grabbed the third-place prize with a ride of 1.85 seconds.
The riders placing either first, second or third were given prize money, with the overall winner from each age group also claiming a buckle.
Sponsors for the annual steer riding competition were Good Times Bar and Triple O Service.
