Next to Christmas, it’s probably the most anticipated event of the year here in Chase County.
That’s the Chase County Fair!
By the time you are reading this, events will be in full swing at the fairgrounds in Imperial. Don’t miss any of them, if at all possible.
Most of us have company coming sometime this week, so that means getting things ready at home, too. Cleaning? Well, that usually gets put on the back burner at our house.
Thank goodness there are so many selections for food at the fairgrounds. That alleviates the need to cook meals for your company. Thank you, thank you.
And, by eating at the fairgrounds, and taking advantage of such activities as the Lions bingo stand, you are also supporting our local organizations and businesses that provide so much to our communities all year long.
There are some new events this year, including Wednesday’s brat feed and Thursday’s “Got Talent?” amateur talent show, to take advantage of.
But, don’t forget all those popular standby fair events like Wednesday’s Christian show, Thursday’s demo derby, Friday’s pedal tractor pull for the kids and Saturday’s parade and car shows.
And there’s a great carnival returning, Fun Run, great grandstand shows and so much more.
I had hoped to get some cleaning and mowing done at home early this week, but it’s probably not going to happen. But, hey, what’s more important?
See you at the fairgrounds!
