Ican still remember sitting in my high school trigonometry, baffled by the problems and wondering just exactly what good was ever going to come in my life from enduring trig.
Honestly, I can say that I've probably never used trig since I left that room my senior year. But what I did take from the experience came not in the form of numbers and calculations but in the life lessons I learned, such as hard work, perseverance and the desire to succeed.

What a weekend. We looked forward with great anticipation to celebrating the graduation of our oldest daughter at the Chadron State College campus. Times have changed from the days when a woman gave up her education in order to move to rural America with her husband.
Despite moving back to Imperial, Brooke hung in there with a goal to be certified as an elementary teacher, utilizing online classes, a distance learning class and help through the Mid Plains satellite campus in Imperial, one month of classes in Chadron, many many many miles on the road and classroom time in McCook and North Platte.
